Jon Jones Willing To Sit Out 2-3 Years To ‘Bring Light To What Is Happening’ In UFC

Jon Jones is willing to sit out two-to-three years to ‘bring light to what’s happening’ in the UFC following recent failed contract negotiations for his next fight.

According to Jones, he has no interest in fighting in the UFC at this time.

“I don’t want to fight soon,” Jones said about his fighting career and future. “I have no interest in fighting in the UFC until I get paid what I believe I’m worth.”

With Jones fighting for fair fighter pay now, he believes the next generation will remember him for that instead of defending his light heavyweight belt.

“If I have to have a bad relationship with Dana, sit out for two years, three years, to bring light to what’s happening, then these are the things people remember you for more than winning belts,” Jones said. “I stood for the younger fighters.”
